The final
level of electronic monitoring is for those
individuals categorized as High to Extreme Risk with their preferred
supervision being Active GPS Monitoring. These
individuals would be those whose violations involve the most serious types
of offenses and would most likely involve either a victim, a higher than
normal risk of flight or a greater perceived danger to the community.
A detailed record of the individuals daily activity is desired as well as the
ability to track their movements and locate their whereabouts at any given
time. In addition, the ability to provide both inclusion
and exclusions zones within the community further restrict the individual’s
movements thereby providing an even greater level of protection. Along
with standard, static exclusion zones, by utilizing a trackable Sprint phone, it
is possible to provide the victim in a case with "traveling" exclusion
zone that goes where ever they go, allowing for an added measure of protection
once they leave their residence. Possessing the latest developments in offender tracking technology,
the Active GPS unit requires no land-line phone technology and offers three
way voice communication with the offender through a cellular connection with
the Offender Monitoring Center.
Currently at EagleEye we utilize two Active GPS systems, each possessing
different features applicable for different situations. | |
